Sporting success!

This week a number of our Key Stage Three students competed at the National Indoor Rowing Championships held at the Copper Box Arena.  It was a fantastic opportunity for students to fight for their place on the leader board at a such a huge event.  In addition the boys also enjoyed learning about disability sports such as wheelchair basketball and actually took part in a match which they won!

All the boys made a huge effort in each heat of the rowing, Max , 7B came 1st in his heat and missed out on a National Bronze medal by 1 metre and our year 9 team came 8th out of 84 schools.  The most outstanding performance went to Bartek 9B who won silver coming 2nd out of 150 competitors of boys of his age from all over the country and improving on last years position of 4th  place!  Huge congratulations to all our competitors!
