  • Outstanding 2026 GCSE Results!

    We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students today. Nerves mixed with jittery excitement showed on their faces as they opened the envelopes to find out their results.

    Their hard work, determination, and commitment have truly paid off, with results that reflect both individual excellence and the support of their teachers and parents.

    An impressive 90% of students achieved five or more GCSEs including English and Maths.  Additionally, 35 students achieved top grades across all their subjects! All our results are testament to academic excellence and the dedication of our teaching staff. These top grades reflect the high standards our students have set for themselves.

    Undoubtedly; their outstanding application in lessons, at home and throughout the exam period; brilliantly supported by their teachers and parents; was worthwhile!

  • Celebrating Outstanding A’ Level and BTEC Results 2026!

    We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our students in this year’s A Level and BTEC examinations. Their hard work, resilience, and determination have once again produced exceptional outcomes.

    Our A’ Level students have achieved remarkable results, with 30% of all grades awarded at A or A*, and 87% at A-C*.  Once again, our students are moving on to study at some of the world’s leading universities including: Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College and a variety of medical schools.  These outcomes reflect both the dedication of our students and the high-quality teaching and support they have received.

    Our vocational students have also achieved outstanding outcomes, with a phenomenal 97% of grades awarded at Distinction or Distinction*. This is a testament to their commitment over the last two years to their studies.

    .

    These results open doors to top universities including: Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, LSE, Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Royal Holloway, Queen Mary, Newcastle and Nottingham to study a range of subjects including Medicine, Law, Maths, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Politics, History, Business, Economics, Computer Science etc.  In addition, we have some students accepted onto apprenticeship degrees; we are excited to see what the future holds for each of them.

Our students have worked incredibly hard, with focus and unwavering application.  These achievements reflect not just the exceptional ability of our students but also their resilience, ambition and determination to succeed. As they move on to their next steps, we know that these young women and men carry with them the skills and confidence to succeed.  We wish these alumni well and look forward to learning of their future successes.”

  • Number 1 Boys School In The Country

    Through the outstanding achievements of our students; we have been determined as the Number 1 Boys Comprehensive school in the country by The Daily Telegraph, in their article this week ‘Find the Best School in your Area’.

    In fact, in the Telegraph’s consideration of all forms of schools (including grammar, girls and mixed) we have been placed as number 17 out of 3500 schools!  Such recognition is truly merited and a testament to our amazing community of students, staff and families striving together to fully realise the potential of each individual studying at Gunnersbury Catholic School.

    This summer; once again, Gunnersbury’s A Level and GCSE results were the highest in the borough and locality.  Their incredible results have enabled this cohort of Year 13 students to join our alumni at the very best universities, studying the most competitive of courses – including a record 5 of our students achieving a place at medical schools to study medicine.  In their GCSEs, Gunnersbury pupils attained to a level far beyond both local and national with 93% of the cohort securing both English and Mathematics GCSE.

    Number 1 school in the borough!

    We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students today. The nerves, tension and apprehension could be clearly seen on their faces as they tentatively opened the envelopes to see the grades they had been awarded. 

    Their hard work, determination, and commitment have truly paid off, with results that reflect both individual excellence and the support of their teachers and parents.

    An impressive 46% of students achieved grades 9-7, a testament to their academic excellence and the dedication of our teaching staff. These top grades reflect the high standards our students have set for themselves. Even more impressively, 91% of students achieved five or more GCSEs including English and Maths. 

    Undoubtedly; their outstanding application in lessons, at home and throughout the exam period; brilliantly supported by their teachers and parents; was worthwhile!  Our Year 11s now have doors to very exciting futures, opened very wide indeed.

An amazing 5 of our students are going to study at medical school.  These outcomes reflect both the dedication of our students and the high-quality teaching and support they have received.

    Our BTEC students have also achieved outstanding outcomes, with a phenomenal 98% of grades awarded at Distinction or Distinction*. This is a testament to their commitment over the last two years to their studies.

    These results open doors to top universities including UCL, Bath, Exeter, Leeds, Royal Holloway, Queen Mary, Newcastle and Reading to study a range of subjects including Medicine, Law, Maths, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Business, Economics, Computer Science etc.  In addition, some students have gone on to apprenticeships in Law, Business and Computing; we are excited to see what the future holds for each of them.
