Senior students secure top university places with exceptional 'A' level results
Students and staff are celebrating another year of exceptional success at A level, with a 100% success pass rate for the 11th year in succession, and a record number of subject entries.
Our Headteacher said : “Yet again, the determination and hard work of our senior students, supported by their families and our teachers, has paid off. We are proud of every one of our students receiving their results today. These outstanding results underline the real academic strengths of our school and will enable the majority of our class of 2015 to start their undergraduate studies at the top Russell Group universities. Despite recent changes to the post-16 exams system, our remarkable young people continue to rise to the challenge.”
30% of all grades secured were at A* and A, and an outstanding 90% of all A levels were grades A* to C.
The average points score per student was 842, higher than many independent and selective schools and equivalent to each student securing, on average, grades ABB - indeed many achieved beyond this. 18 students scored a full set of A* and A grades.
These outstanding 'A' level successes have enabled Gunnersbury students to start their undergraduate studies at the most prestigious institutions including UCL, London School of Economics, Warwick, Bristol, York, Exeter and Southampton, amongst other Russell Group universities.
