Competition Round Up!

So many of our students have been involved in competitions this term.  The Young Magistrates competition saw our boys beat Trinity Academy as the defending team, but narrowly lost to a 4-3 magistrates verdict as the prosecuting team vs Elmgreen School.  Another group also took part in the Bar Mock Trial competition.  All these students worked so hard in preparing for these events with staff, their commitment was evident as they met on a Saturday to take part and were prepared and focused in all the competitions!

The Jack Petchey Speak Out competition winner, Beruk in Year 10 gave a convincing speech in the final.  He was calm, persuasive and engaging.  We were very proud of him!

In school we held a bookmark competition for World Book Day, our winners from Year 7- Shlok, Igor, Dominic, Kabir and in Year 8 Russell created some amazing bookmarks showing their talent and imagination.

Finally,  a group of students were privileged to visit Sky Academy where they were given the opportunity to plan, create and produce their own newsreel on ‘climate change’.  We can see some television presenters of the future!
