Continued A Level Success in 2017

Once again it has been a year of exceptional success for our Sixth Form students at Gunnersbury Catholic School.  The elation of our young men and women this morning reflect an amazing set of A-Level grades of which 46% were at A*/A and 92% A*-C.

Further to every single student passing their A-Levels the average points score for the cohort equates to an average set of grades of AAB for each candidate.  Of particular note amongst these successes are the achievements of Christopher Cannon, Jack Carlin and Benyam Dejen (pictured above) who each secured A*A*A*.  A considerable number of students achieved a full set of A*/As in their exams.  Such grades have enabled our pupils to move on to the very best universities including Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick and King’s College to name but a few.

Headteacher, Kevin Burke, said: “It’s been a fantastic morning here at Gunnersbury.  We are totally elated by the success of our Year 13 and the amazing individual achievements of our students. With exceptional pride we celebrate every one of our young men and women receiving their results today.  Their efforts allied to the expertise of our staff have enabled Gunnersbury to continue to year on year be a source of truly great academic accomplishment.  I wish these students much happiness and future success as they embark upon the next exciting stage of their lives.”
