Phenomenal success at GCSE !

90% of Year 11s secure 5 GCSE passes (including English and Maths) or more at grade C and higher

The school has secured another outstanding set of results in the GCSEs this year; our 5 A*-Cs including English and Maths were 90% : the best in the school’s history !  Furthermore, yet again, 100% of boys secured at least 5 A* to C passes, including all subjects.

33% of all GCSE grades were  A*and A 
25% of boys attained 5 or more grades A*and A 
56% of boys gained the English Baccalaureate

All of these phenomenal results are set against a national picture where grades A*-A dropped to 21% and grades A*-C (including English and Maths) dropped to 68%.   WIth a national debate taking place around 'traditional' subjects, Gunnersbury boys' results in English, Maths,  Science and Modern Languages have all risen, bucking the national trends :

94% of boys gained grade C or higher in English (the national figure for boys was 56%)

90% of boys secured grade C or higher in Maths (the national figure for boys was 58%)

70% of boys secured grades  A* and A for Biology  (the national figure for boys was 36%)

64% of boys secured grades  A* and A for Chemistry (the national figure for boys was 39%)

67% of boys secured grades  A* and A for Physics (the national figure for boys was 41%)

88% of boys secured grade C or higher in Modern Foreign Languages (the national figure was 64%)

There are numerous individual success stories.  Amongst them, 25 boys, all of whom achieved 8 or more A* and A  grades : Jaden Aponsah, Karim Al-Nabahani, Matthew Alunowski, Ivan Anas, Maxim Bagdasarian, Filip Brakus, Louis Cannon, Aubrey Caringal, Jakub Chichonski, Aeron Dela Cruz, James Finnigan, James Gill,  David Green, Keroulous Hanna, Dean Kamna, Alex Omisore, Christopher Pedrosa, Matthew Perreira, George Pitsialis, Nicholas Ramovic, Stefan Rossi, Tim Springett, Eamon Walker, Romaric Walker and Senai Yohannes.

We are exceptionally proud of all our boys and how they have performed and these results are a testimony to the hard work and dedication of our pupils, staff and parents.
