Living Faith

"Gunnersbury Catholic School is a thriving, vibrant and caring learning community within which pupils are stretched intellectually and foster a love of learning, whilst feeling valued, happy and safe" (OFSTED)

Our Citizenship and PSHE programme of study is known as Living Faith and this supports the acquisition of knowledge, understanding and skills pupils need to manage their lives now and in the future. All students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 participate in one lesson of Living Faith per week with their form tutor and the topics addressed in our curriculum are based on three core themes :

1. Health and Wellbeing

2. Positive relationships

3. Living in the Wider World

We believe in a whole-school approach that promotes the spiritual, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils and also prepares our students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. This is not only delivered through these weekly Living Faith lessons but through cross-curricular links with other subjects, assemblies, workshops, school trips and charity projects.
