In a competition open to all secondary schools in London, Gunnersbury Catholic School was announced as the Transport for London Innovate Champions on Friday, 9 March 2018. The competition seeks for teams of entrants to utilise high level Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in the design of improvements to our transport infrastructure. Gunnersbury’s team, who named themselves Team Maglev, created a solution to the dangers posed to pedestrians and traffic by cars overtaking buses stationary at bus-stops. Team Maglev consists of: Tigron Minasian, Agostinho De Noronha, Don Angelo Sfeir, Ethan Sa Do Rego, Louis Beguinot, Adam Gilbert and Elliot Frazer, who are all in Year 12. A prototype of their design will be engineered by TFL over the summer. Well done Team Maglev.
