World Book Day celebrations

The English department looked like something out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this week as the main building was filled with the sweet smell of cakes!  From versions of the witches in 'Macbeth' to 'Frankenstein' and 'Harry Potter' our Key Stage Three students amazed us with their unique ideas for cakes based on books.  The cake sales which followed were very popular and led to £100 pounds being raised for the school's Lenten charity appeal.  All students have been given their £1 voucher towards a new book, or to purchase the free World Book Day books published this year.  Happy reading!
