Our Choir sparkles again at Our Lady of Willesden
On Sunday 13th May 2018 the choristers from our recently renamed Adoremus choir (formerly Chamber Choir) sang throughout the liturgy both before and after the May procession at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Willesden. It was a beautiful occasion in which we remembered the shrine of Our Lady of Willesden as a place of pilgrimage for so many. This half term in school we have been praying to Mary on a daily basis and have gathered together as a school community every Wednesday in the Chapel to say the Rosary. It was therefore particularly special that we should be invited to Our Lady of Willesden to lead the music. The repertoire included: hymns, Marian chants as well as two of our favourites during Holy Communion: Mozart's "Ave Verum Corpus" and Franck's "Panis Angelicus". A truly reflective and delightful liturgy for all involved.
