We were thrilled to welcome back our Year 11 students today to receive their GCSE results. The nerves, tension and apprehension could be clearly seen on their faces as they tentatively opened the envelopes to see the grades they had been awarded.
Very quickly the sounds of laughter, cheers and excitement were filling the school as our Year 11 celebrated the fantastic results they truly deserved! We were ecstatic for all our students who have achieved yet again a set of amazing results.
Our 2022 headlines are:
30% 8-9 grades
50% 7-9 grades
87% 5-9 grades
95% 4-9 grades
The Year 11s of 2022 have worked hard throughout the last two years to ensure they were successful today and the consistent work in lessons, at home and through the exam period; supported by teachers and parents was worthwhile. Our Year 11s now have doors wide open on their very exciting futures.

Throughout the last term our keen, energetic and excited bronze Duke of Edinburgh Year 9 students have been undertaking preparations for the expedition section of the award. They have completed day trips to learn skills in map-reading and orienteering.
Over the last 4 days our bronze students, divided into two groups, have completed the practise expedition which included an overnight in a tent as well as cooking and walking skills.
Although the weather was not brilliant it failed to dampen the spirits of our explorers who had a fantastic time and are now fully prepared for the assessed expedition after half term!
We were delighted to have so many of our Year 7 and 8 students take part in the Kingswood residential trip this term.
Our Year 7s enjoyed the early May bank holiday at the centre in the Isle of Wight and Year 8 spent a long weekend there last week under the care and support of our Gunnersbury staff.
All the boys took part in a range of activities including Laser Tag, Leap Of Faith, 3G Swing and Nightline along with the Obstacle Challenge.
Each evening they had an activity that included Movie Night, Quizzes and Mini Olympics.
Although sad to leave they had enjoyed a trip, made some new friends and certainly slept soundly on the coach back to school!
Sporting Success!
Our boys continue to strive for excellence in their sporting activities. Our skilled rugby player in Year 10 finished runners up in the U15 Middlesex Cup earlier this term.
In addition we are very proud of all our boys who competed in the ‘Active Row West Indoor Rowing’ competition with both the Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 team winning silver and bronze. We are looking forward to further sporting successes in the new term.
